Just make sure it's a genuine cat though, otherwise it will play hell with the ECU.

Shut it u stupid little f**k, what's the point in posting in all my treads being such a c***? Least I can afford a gti180, and to get the cam belt done!

So apparently everyone knows my financial situation? If I wanted a 180 I would have bought a 180 simples Smile

I had new cat fitted and short time after the engine light came on, what would that be? I do plan on taking it to get checked but wondering if anyone has an idea?

It will not be a genuine cat, however if there is nothing wrong with the running of the engine it
should be prefectly fine and not need replacing again.
That's why there is usually a red sticker on them which says "Find cause of previous cat failing before replacing".

Mux / Non-mux shouldn't make a difference.

I once clipped something in the road and smashed the front cat on my 206 1.1 many years ago and they wanted £174 for the front cat and £50 for the front pipe.... I rang up NPA 01670 520111 and got a front cat for £25 and front pipe for £4... trade prices to the public, give them a call
