What do I do..?
Cars going through an insurance claim because of the little knock which took the SP arch off and caused scratches ect.
Garage calls.. Peugeot do not sell SP arches any more. The garage tried to get hold of some and they were told they do not sell them. The guy says he will buy a second hand one through ebay. OK fine.
We are having to use the old rubber seal off my old one which I'm fine about obviously.
Then he throws this one out there...
He can't get hold of the clips! he wants to bond the arch on!
My issue is I'm anal. I don't A) like the idea of them all being clipped on and one being bonded OR B) the idea that if I decided I want to break the car (although highly unlikely) or simply just get bored of the SP arches I can never remove them due to one being bonded on.
So my dilema is this, if I cannot get hold of 3 clips should I just remove all my SP arches?
I like them and I'll be so f*****g p**sed of it's unreal that just because some old lady decides to park her car on mine I should have ANY inconvenience or even be affected at all.
This claim isn't going directly through my insurance (Admiral) as they said I can do it another way which is a "No brainer" which means I don't have to pay my excess but it goes through a sister company instead of directly through them... which I feel has removed some of the moaning rights? I didn't even get to choose the garage which I have been told usually you can?
I'm dealing directly with the garage & have a hire car as opposed to the garage proving a courtesy car!
What do we think my options are?
Like what can I do if I decide I don't want it bonded on? The guy already said if he can't get hold of an SP arch on ebay that I'm stuffed! what does that even mean? he's going to return the car with - one SP arch lol?
So p**sed off. I wonder if it is too late to change my mind, pay my excess and go through my insurance company directly - I have got the hire car already but don't see why I should have to pay for it if the company they use for repair can't perform them as they should be (bond to me says bodge) as it's meant to be clipped on...
I know it's a long ass read/semi rant but if you can be asked to read go for it haha

Im sure, you could get the clips from somewhere, ask them to remove a clip from each of the other ones to stick this arch on and then when you get the car back buy some more clips and replace the missing ones.

You only need two clips to hold an arch on securely.
Here are non-genuine ones:

trying to dig the Pug Code up for you now.. |
Thanks mate that would be greatly appreciated!

Good idea! If I can't get hold of them that's got to happen!

I think that's it looks very similar, I can't see the other end as all were ripped out and the existing ones on others are all stuck on,
So I just say to the garage part number;
699260 to order from Peugeot and they defo stock them?
All help sooo appreciated!
