Noticed yesterday when looking at the trackrod end on the N/S that there's a small split in the cv boot Mad
Not sure what to do, i can either swop the driveshaft for another i have or put a new boot on. What do people think will be easiest. Dont really want to pull the driveshaft out the box as i have only just filled it up with oil. But i have never changed a cv boot before and it looks abit tricky to get the small end over the end of the shaft. Confused

I'd just change the cv boot.

Shut it u stupid little f**k, what's the point in posting in all my treads being such a c***? Least I can afford a gti180, and to get the cam belt done!

So apparently everyone knows my financial situation? If I wanted a 180 I would have bought a 180 simples Smile

Does the outer part of the driveshaft come off the shaft?

if your not competent in changing a cv boot then just buy a complete shaft Very Happy
costs range from £30 ish and is a straight out and replace although you probably want a driveshaft seal aswell Wink
im just doing a cv myself which comes with a new boot for £17. Easy job just watch this www.youtube.com/watch?v=-S-ofMoWsr0

I wont be able to do it like that. I have just fit the engine and filled the gearbox up with oil. So I dont really want to have to drain it and buy new oil.
Ive done them before but have been off the car.
