So today after nearly a year of faultless ownership it happened!!
Went to pick the mrs up from work and put the roof down-everything was fine
Got to her workplace and went to put the roof up,it did everything as it should until the end
no final bong, motor carried on going and multiple bleeps in the car!!
So I tried opening the roof again and it went fine until the end
again no bong, motor carried on and bleeps!!
So I put the roof back up and it did exactly the same,so I got out and pushed down on the boot lid...
passenger side nothing car still bleeping..
pushed down on the drivers side and heard a click and the beeping stopped
Got the mrs and put the roof down same again got out pushed the boot lid down and 'click' bleeps stopped so we drove home, got home put roof up and had to get out and press down on the boot lid 'click' bleeps stopped
So it would seem that the O/S boot latch isn't engaging properly

So now who has ideas what to try, should I give it a squirt of lube and see what happens,or what??

Make sure when the roof is up you check all the catches/latches are nice and tight.
Also, is a little catch with a plastic gromet that wears out. That might have worn and it causes all sorts of problems.

Well everything works as it should except the driver side boot latch doesn't lock
It clicks and locks when I push the lid down
Where's the little catch with the grommet situated?

That is where that catch is, just by the catches. You should be able to spot it easily.
Sounds like you just need to adjust the catch. The one we have got needed the drivers side catch adjusting as it was a little loose and making the bootlid rattle.
I can take a pic to show you tomorrow morning.

Here you go....

The Black Circled part is the bit I was taking about, because if it is loose, it doesn't trip the locking mechanism on that side.
The Red Circled parts are the bolts I have to adjust. It takes a lot of opening and closing the boot to make sure it is in line! Lol.

I don't know if this video might help... It shows the workings of the roof in detail. It is a bit long, but should show you all what to check to make sure it is all working correctly.

Well I think I've found the problem
Looks like the cable that pulls the big latch part in place has snapped!!
My mate (ex-pug mastertech) is going to have a look tomorrow and tell me for deffo
If it is then I'll see how much he wants to change it for me
Problem now is I can't find the damn cable on Service Box, so no idea how much that'll cost!!
Anyone know the part number(s)??
