Ive spent the last two days giving the pug a good going over. Been wanting to do this for a while, and being off work for the week and good weather it would be rude not to take advantage!

This is what i call an OCD clean and consists of:

Wash & dry (G3 Pro bodywork Detox)
De-tar'd/Bug'd
Bodywork & plastics clayed
Rinsed & dried
Paintwork renovator
Polish
Seal/Wax
Plastics treated
Glass cleaned

Heres a few pics in the process:

This was the clay bar after doing only the quarter of the roof!!

And a few afters...

Today i carried on where i left off yesterday, mainly the wheels. I gave the wheels a DEEP clean, as i was fed up of all the dirt/brake dust on the inside of the rim coming through when i was trying to clean the front lol... and while the wheels were off i slapped on some red caliper paint i had lying around, and sprayed the drums black.

Heres a few before & afters...

I also put a few layers of wax on the wheels for easier cleaning next time round.

Alltogether it took around 7-8 hours! But well worth it and should only have to top up the wax every time it gets washed now for a few months.

Also i have this lying around that i got for pretty much free, so might fit it this week...

I hate moonstone/silver, no matter how much work or product you use it still just doesn't seem to shine like the other colours do.

Rich: i use This stuff from UK valet supplies, proper strong acidic stuff, it will find the smallest of cuts on your hands, even ones you didnt know you had! lol... As for method, blast the majority of the dirt off with a jet wash, and i got a stiff wheel cleaner brush and scrubbed, had to repeat a few times especially on the front wheels.

Timon: Cheers dude! i dont do half arsed jobs, its only finished when im happy with it Razz

2Oh!6: Couldnt agree with you more, if you look closely it looks really shiney but it doesnt give you the wow factor after a good polish like my older cars have done.

Great job on the Sirocco's mate. I could never get em looking this good on mine so I changed to Nimrods. After seeing yours, I'm wondering if I made the right decision lol.
