Hi All,

Sadly the 206CC had a bit of a bump yesterday.
Was sat in a que of traffic, and the idiot behind was on his mobile an didn't stop in time Sad

Luckily, we were both fine. The car crumpled well!
Looks like the roof mechanism has been twisted a bit, along with ripples in the rear quarters and a bent bootlid. Along with a dented bonnet where we went into the 4x4 in front.

Didn't get a chance to get any pics for you guys as the Police were on scene pretty quickly. With all 3 cars and passengers to deal with, it was all pretty hectic!

So, at the moment, our CC is sat in a yard waiting for the insurence assesors. With the damage to it, it is highly unlikely that we are going to get it back.

So, at the moment, we are bombing around in a courtesy car. A little 700cc Smart car.

Sadly, this does mean that we aren't going to be able to get to the French Car Show as we don't know when the garage is going to need its car back.

Have put our tickets up for sale again Sad
Hopefully someone can have a good day out through our misfortune.

Thanks for the comments. Yes, we are very happy that we are Ok.

There were plenty of witnesses there telling the officers that he was on his phone, so he was banged to rights.
It really annoys us seeing people chatting/texting on their phones. Even more so now!

Some woman was sat in the middle lane on the M5 doing 60 on her mobile... no joke there was no other traffic around luckily but I couldn't think of much worse driving to be honest.

I agree, Whilst driving Phones / Texting / 3 Course meal should be a very serious offence, maybe some people don't care about there car's but others (like us on here) take great pride in our's and spend a lot of money on them, that we wont see a return if written off.

Not to mention the fact that your putting someone's lives in danger.

My Mums other half was in an accident 2 days ago, a driver on the other side of the road came into on coming traffic at 50mph and hit the car in front, bounced off and hit his nice MG ZT SE :-(. The car in front was a 206 and there unsure if the driver is going to make it :(.

Just glad to hear that your alright.

Maybe you can make it to the 206 meet in July ? Very Happy

i hope its his insurance that covers for the damage of all the other cars due to her negligence and the renewal premium on his insurance will be affected.

Thanks again for all the comments.

Yeah, the damage to the CC looked pretty extensive. But was only crumpling the way it was designed to!

Yes, we are going to be making the Summer meet in July. Looking forward to it.
