hi im new to the 206 gti but i have owned a 205 gti befor

1.at the moment im finding it hard to move the gear stick in gos in to
gear fine but moving it around is difficult even in neutral

2.after about 5mins of diving it seams to be reving at 2000rpm on tick over


any ideas

1. Check the linkages are greased
2. Clean the ICV

i would check the oil...

yes got it cuple of days ago . the gears seem to get harder as it warms up

Im sure Edward had this problem when he put wrong oil in. Slave culinder would make it hard to engage gears, but not move the stick.

even in neutral its stiff with out the clutch engaged
