Pegueot 206 2.0 HDI 51 plate.

My car has the early wiring fuses boxes.

In an attempt to get the Fuel gauge to work, I checked the fuses on the interior fuse box. I needed to go out and started the cap without problems, drove about 20 yards and a warning beeper came on and the interior light flashed.

I took this as meaning the door wasnt shut right so turned the engine off and closed the doors passenger and drivers, no light or beeps again. i got to a round about and the indicators were working, got to my house and went to lock the doors no Central locking. I pulled out a fuse F6 which was for engine immobiliser and engine management. the central locking and indicators now work, but now the car won't start.

It turns over all ok, I have a feeling the immobliser has kicked in, I read disconnect the battery for 12 hours to discharge the capacitors and that should reset it.

this didnt work, does anyone know a work around or a way to reset the Immobliser to test it.

Put the F6 fuse back in.

Does it have a fat stubby radio stalk or a long thin one?

long thin one radio stalk,

I found something saying the fuse numbers, the fuses I had to remove were and put back to get the central locking working was F4 and F6.

F4 Multifunction control module.
F6 Engine management, immobilizer.

Which leads me to think the immoblizer is the problem.

There isn't a shut-down/soft-start for non-mux but I try to be gentle too.

@OP Diagnostic scan with PP2000, Lee recomended (even though no-one likes him).
