i plan on getting my cambelt done on my hdi, i opted to purchase the parts myself, is there a particular belt, water pump brand i should buy?
also i wat it serviced while it is there as there is little history with the car and would like to build some up, garage told me to buy the following;
fuel filter
oil filter
air fillter?
oil
and i will be having the colant changed also.
i could do most of these my self but would be good to have some proof of it being done( for when it comes to selling it) alswell as it being properly.
questions are
what oil is best for the 2.0 hdi
what coolant
what cambelt kit
what water pump
does it matter what fuel/oil filtter i use
anymore advice will be much appreciated

Go and buy the parts from Peugeot. Should be cheap enough and at least you'll be getting the right parts.
Just because a garage is doing the work, doesn't mean it's getting done properly either. Just record what's been done and at what mileage. That's what I've done with the last 2 services and the timing belt & water pump on the 306.

as for doing it myself its no good when it comes to selling the car, i had loads of bullshiters say they done this and that when they never

dealer will sell you total oil of course....
peugeot/ shitroen oil filter are very good quality ( i think i got them around a fiver if not less), there is little point to use other stuff.
