Seabook- yeah I was thinking about that :-/, i can't see it being as reliable as a turbo petrol from factory

Lee- I don't dream about things like this I like to do my research and ask for people's opinions, you can't just wake up and go " I'm taking my pug to DP engineering in holland tomorrow and getting it done with no quotes etc and no in depth information about the pros and cons of converting my 180 to turbo" haha that would just be silly

i don't mean reliability; but more of poor craftmanship Wink

i've had experience of a turbo 206, a f**king ballache. been to major tuning companies and it still aint right. just bought me an sti as i've lost patience. if you want a car to sit on the drive and look pretty, turbo it, else better get a factory spec motor

It depends what you intend on using it for? In all honesty you'd be better off getting a standard turbo engine so it's all oem and (built as standard) say a 207gti?? Then do little bits to it. I also think that would be cheaper thank a £8k+ custom build

It has indeed, but I do think the newer 207 engine would look tiddyer in the 180 bay.

I wander if that has actually been done yet? I haven't heard of any one using the 207lump in conversions?
Maybe it's expensive to buy any way.

that was a joke really Laughing

interface is totally different, so probably need aftermarket ecu to run; just cost too much.

Not sure if 207gti is expensive though; just have a quick look on ebay, around 5K you can get one already
