How can i find out, PP2000 is asking me, there's quite a few models listed. 2004 gti 138. Thanks

can you not find it on service box by VIN?

Usually does it by engine code, eg RFN or RFR

I did look on servicebox but couldnt find it, eventually worked it out by trying them all! It was a RFN one.

RFN, KFW etc is the engine code not ECU. Have a look on the actual unit and see what the labels say.

Ye it is as Lee says.
But you should have some labels/markings on the ECU itself as well.
