pug 206 53 plate, 2l 16v gti (not the 180 unfortunately)

i was drivin ma pug on fri and suddenly it conked out - display said"anti pollution fault" ?? the engine will turn but fails to start - also there is a clicking/tripping noise coming from the fuse board under bonnet. AA attended but his little computer thingy just said it was shorting out somewhere, he couldnt fix it and it was recovered home

I was told that siemens fuse boards are notorious and peugeot sell a lot of them, the board has been looked at by a garage and they tried one fix which failed Crying or Very sad

has anyone had this probably or know what may be probably?

Searched the forum and this problem comes up a lot.
Majority of the threads say to get the codes read, what this means is should take it to a dealer so they can plug your engine into a computer and the computer will tell them what is at fault

Thank you deadeyepaul very much appreciate your reply, the AA guy said that something was shorting everything out, would replacing the whole board benefit? i live in very remote and rural place, therefore geting to an actually dealer in its immobile state cud prove difficult!

Get a car transporter company to toe you. I used www.shiply.com to move my car from the midlands to Yorkshire, only cost me £150 that's a 3/4 hour drive.

Would of drove it myself but I'd have to find my own way home and probably spend more going on the train home.
