Just bought my first 206 this week.

No manual with it, just a wheel brace & no jack.

I've been looking at the wheel nuts on the alloys and these look like chrome plastic caps? Just wondering how I get these off as no tool with the car and caps are too big for wheel brace.

Any help appreciated

Just a long nose pair of pliers or if what I do if I haven't got one a set to hand is use 2 coins put one of either side and pull them out Wink

Should be a yellow plastic tool clipped to the wheel brace for removing the caps on the alloy bolts.

The jack lives inside a plastic box, lower the spare wheel down & you should find it inside there Wink

Also a good idea to grease up the wheel cage lowering bolt as they rust up.

Ok, cheers to both of you for advice. No yellow tool in car so will have a look in the spare. Had only tried with my fingers to get caps off so no real effort been applied yet.

Are the bolt hole spacings on the Pug 4 x 108?

Yes 108x4

I use a flat bladed screw driver to lever them off at all angles.

The jack the car comes with is rubbish and will break with 1-2 uses. Probably why you dont have one?

Invest in a trolley jack and some axle stands, well worth it

The standard jack is perfectly fine for it's intended use of changing a wheel at the roadside IF its used CORRECTLY.

Maybe i should have a look and see if i have a jack, i've never thought of looking Embarassed

I can confirm that long nosed pliers work a treat with the caps. Very Happy

Have got a trolley jack so just need a pair of axle stands, don't like the creaking noises when its suspended by just the jack.

Have had a thorough inspection today so now posting a new topic with a few questions.
