... remove the central locking and electric window motor?

I cant find it anywhere on the forum :/

you have to drill the rivits for the window rails! i did a how to on installing them so use that as a rough guide. Smile

ahh thanks, dont actually want to remove the rails if possible just the motor. Does it come off separately? If not I'll have to work around it

Nope it's not like a BMW were the motor is swperate lol, it's all one thing, so you have to replace the whole rail I'm afraid,

Unplug it, disconnect the lock rods then undo the screws.

Remember the central locking motor is the complete door latch!

I'm trying to remove as much stuff in the door as possible so that there is better access to the outer door skin so that I can apply sound deadening easier.

I would just drill the rivets out but that would mean buying a rivert gun and rivets to get it all back in again which is money and PITA!

Hmm, sounds more complicated than I would have liked. Is there a guide as to how to go about doing this?

you can always use nuts and bolts to put it back on....
