I have the older small clock only display in my center console. I would like to know if the newer, wider display will fit and also work (will the plug fit) in its place?
I will have the replacement trim for the console with the larger apiture.

Cheers

Thanks, can't seem to find it (but then my searching skills are useless.:)
Really just want to know if the larger display will fit and work in the older display area?

I don't think it's a straight swap and you need to change the plug on the loom.

If I splice it in, i take it it will be for power only for the clock, the other functions such as temperature wont work, will they?

Also, will the unit itself fit in place?

Thanks, I appreciated it.

Units should all be same shape and size so it should fit.

You might get some of the other bits working if you sort the different plus and get the BSI altered, but it really depends whether the sensors are there to start with.

The unit will physically fit, but it wont actually do anything except display time and date. You will also need to change the plastic fascia that holds the hazard button for a wider one to fit the screen, there's 2 types, one for the clock and one for screens. That screen was from a car that is multiplexed so basically everything is can bus. The earlier screen you may be able to do more with but i've never played with one. One thing I know for certain is that the small clock plug (the plug is named PP-T20) wont fit any of the multifunction screens so you'd still have to fit a plug.
