i am very much doubt you can use the 406 rear disc.

Even the caliper might fit i doubt you can use their disc

Can be done, there is a guy on PSC UK running a vented set-up on a 309 beam, fitted to his 205.

how? surely it need fair a bit of mod?

406 rear caliper different caliper PCD ; disc offset is way off, and even handbrake design are completely different (integrated drum for handbrake)

that won't work at all there is no easy option for the brakes. your best option is seat coupe brembo caliper as you can get 300mm disks easily to fit with a custom bracket made up the 406has the wrong off set
