On saturday (15th September) i had to get some diesel for work and had to use my car. on the way as i went over a bridge my Handbrake warning light come on flashed 3 times and stayed off. thought nothing of it. then 3 days later it happend again going over another bridge. so i checked my Brake fluid and saw it was lower than normal.
I topped it up and today had a word with my old gaffer for his opinion. he said i may have a leak and said if i dropped it in he'd have a look. he phoned me up about an hour later and said he'd found my back brake shoes were well past needing doing. and for some reason there was one new brake shoe out of the 4. and my gaffer said he was 99% sure that was what caused my brake fluid to drop.
Here are three pics of the brake shoes (2 & 3 are the same brake shoe)

Check you haven't got a leak in the clutch system too .. they feed off the same reservoir. the feed pipe to the clutch slave runs under the battery and over the gearbox ... they can rub, or simply split.
Unlikely to be just worn shoes/pads .. you've topped up once in the past couple of days so the pads won't wear that quickly.
Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

Pleased to find it was just the badly worn brake shoes making my brake fluid go down. Kept a close eye on fluid level since garage changed the shoes and it hasn't dropped a inch.
