Hi there im rob and new to this site, i have a moonstone blue 206 gti 2001. I still have the original clarion head unit fiited. I was just wondering whether this unit has the capability to hook up an amp to it and run some new speakers off it. cheers

Yes it is possible, I had it in mine.
You need to buy an adaptor with RCA out and piggyback it to the front speakers.
I got my adaptor from eBay for about £5.

Thanks Matt so this will enable me to hook an amp up to original head unit and run the speakers off it? sorry just not great with the technical side of it lol

Does the oringinal head unit have the correct outputs in the back of it to run the amp?

What you have to do is just wire that into the speaker wire from the headunit, and then the rca to the amp its p**s easy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it will. Get some scotchlock clips and join onto front speaker wiring. Then you plug your RCA leads into the adaptor and other end into your amp.
You will need to find out which speaker wire is which (pos, neg etc)
