Ok so my lass is a bit dim. It's not the battery light but the engine management one that's on!

Done a bit of reading and it seems that it's quite a generic fault warning and could be a number of things.. O2 sensor, cat (altho this has a seperate cat warning) etc etc

I'm off to get the codes read today.. But if anyone has any experience of what faults were read on their car can you put it in here.

Cheers

You're p**sing in the wind until you get the codes read. There are too many things to guess at that can turn the EML on

Fault code list

The EML being illuminated isn't a reason for failure

Post the codes up here when you get them. Can cover hundreds of things. Don't clear them either until the problem is sorted.

Main ones are o2 sensors. I've been fighting with mine for ages. I've used about 3 lambda sensors 1 mil eliminator and a remap to cure mine. Still no luck lol

Cheers. I'll have them read on the way home from work tomorrow now.

The car drives fine, no loss of performance, stuttering etc etc...

What's the reason for not clearing the code?

If it passes the MOT i'm not too arsed about it tbh!

Cheers for the help Smile

My 180 always pops up with the anti-p. ive had it read previously and it was a short to the air puller motor. It comes and goes and peugeot advised it wasnt anything that 'needed' fixing. Strangely seems to trigger more if the petrol is low.

You can only clear faults about 40 times, after that the ecu is locked, so best to do it when you have to.

Dan vvt. Have you looked at your map sensor?

Steve. Cheers for that mate, didn't know.

The lights disappeared now so whatever is wrong has cured itself (for the minute anyway!) It disappeared after I disconnected the battery for an hour or so. Went out for a drive and still not came back up.

Will wait for it to flash back up before i get them read. Could be tomorrow, could be next week or next year!

Replied to your pm, ive had faults that dissapear after a restart, although if you disconnected the battery to clear it, it may come back.

"if someone has put it together then I will take it apart" it might never work again but at least I will have an understanding of how it worked and might be able to buy another

The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!!

Your just p**sing in to the wind until you scan it for fault codes.

ANTIPOLLUTION FAULT means there is a fault detected by the engine managment system, what the actual fault is & where to start looking to fix it your not going to know without the fault codes which are now stored in the ecu memory waiting to be read.
