Sounds like right ball ache!
Don't be put off 180's though bar their common faults they're sweet.

WIsh id dumped my D-turbo ....people said dont bother strip it but ...I kept on. Did what I thought was wrong with it for MOT then got sucked in to keep going at it. This has caused me a head ache and back ache. The only balance in this is that I can do the work so its only parts and some back ache and dirty finger nails.
Mines done 155 thou now, and the engine still pulls strong....pittty the car cant keep up...shame really.
Right...see what goes pop next.

It certainly has Jamie, picked the car up today and took it for a spin and boy i have certainly missed driving her, the only downside is my temp gauge no longer responds correctly, garage thinks it's to do with the wiring loom as they replaced the temp sensor but who cares, roll on 180
