My 2003 1.4L 206 stalls immediately after starting when it's cold (i.e., first thing in the morning). It'll usually start and hold on the second or third try... and is fine for the rest of the day. Drives beautifully otherwise.
Local dealership (there's only one as I live in Bermuda and other mechanics on island won't touch Peugeots) has changed starter, battery, oil sensor, ECU and it's just had a full annual service (new plugs, filters, injector flush, etc.).
They seem to be at a loss for what's wrong.
Any ideas? Coolant sensor?

Coil pack?? Most Pugs had the dreaded Sagem pack, change for a bourgicord so worth checking

Agreed, mine has a Sagem pack on and it bounces the revs sometimes, altho i wouldnt expect a full on cut out, maybe a shuddering or slow response.
Check the ICV/IAC, my girlfriends 206 had a problem *that scared the hell out of her* when she dipped the clutch while changing gear on a corner it would cut out.
Clean the knob sticking out and also clean the hole where the knob would go *cotton buds* dont push the knob it. Hope this helps.

Thanks for this. If it's the coil pack, shouldn't I be expriencing misfires and erratic revs, though? (I'm not -- at least not yet). And why would the stall only happen when the engine's cold?
When they replaced the starter, I had two weeks of no issues -- started on first crank without fail, no matter time of day/engine temperature. But problems have just started up again. Could the new starter be failing already? (Could it have been fried by a spike from a bad coil pack or something?)
Just fishing here -- need to be able to give the dealer some ideas as they can never replicate the problem in their shop (car's never cold enough after it's been driven there for service, so starts like a dream for them)

If the engine otherwise runs fine apart from cold starting then I'd reset the ECU so it relearns the best settings particularly as you've had so many components changed. Simply disconnecting the battery overnight and reconnecting in morning will put the ECU into relearning all over and it will tend to run a little rich to start with and then lean back to best settings
Might be engine temperature sensor ETS affecting things but try the ECU reset first as it costs nothing
