I really forgot to update this thread Sad Not much has happened since though, but we have gathered all the parts needed to finish the build except for the last two (Cams and ECU) Smile So hopefully it should be on the road till spring.

But to get you up to speed, we've bought all the little bits and pieces ( gaskets, screws etc.), and a couple more things (check the photos below) Smile We've also decided not to go down the ITB path as it would attract too much unneeded attention from our boys in blue (this type of modification is not legal over here :/ ), so only a larger TB for now.

btw by the looks of it I haven't posted much of the mechanical work up here...will do this today Smile

Okay looking at this thread I obviously forgot to update most of the mechanical stuff Confused

So a bit of an update (again):

We bought 16 new hydraulic tappets (already installed) and as said before, a few other bit and bobs:

Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

Must admit i have a few questions...
How on earth did you get your valves so dam clean?
How did you measure maximum valve lift?
What did you use to clean the sides of the pistons? As ive been advised with a simple copper wire brush?

And why did you choose PSA over PEC bearings for example?

@Edward, we're working on it Smile Yesterdays Time Attack (2nd place) restored my faith in the car so the build is back on the fast track. But I also need to do something about the back end being too soft....

@Addaz, We had them polished by some company (can't quite remember what's it called). Regarding the measurement and cleaning, I'd have to ask the mechanic he'll know how to explain it better than me Smile But I don't think he used a wire brush as you can easily scratch the finish thus causing excessive cylinder wall wear. As for the bearings, we chose OEM do to being them the perfect fit and not overly expensive in regards to non-OEM ones.

We also had the engine block "leveled" (is this the right term?), as the guys who changed the head gasket used quite a peculiar way to clean the previous one off... Confused Evil or Very Mad

Hi Zian. Its looking good. That OEM Bearings must be to expensive. I saw a EW12 rebuild subject on some tuning site. I assume its yours.

Hi Scuhmi, no they're not that expensive compared with other brands, so we opted for the OEM parts. if it's peugeot206gti.net then it mine Very Happy

Another small update...I was back at the track about a month ago and because I was running slicks, I noticed the car was definitely too soft at the back. So I decided to buy some torsion bars. But due to not really knowing if 21mm will be good enough I also bought 25mm xD They should arrive in a couple of weeks Smile

21mm torsion bars are perfect for fast road use. 22mm bars are good but 23mm and bigger are way too hard especially for such a light rear end.

I also ordered torsion bars from Peugeot Sport, but 21mm, because it is my everyday car, and I hope that they will fit well with H&R springs.
