Hi.

My wonderful Peugeot 206 1.4 GLX 02 Plate 5 Door is leaking again through the rear passenger door. I took the door card off an resealed the membrane with duct tape as well as making sure that the drain holes are clear. It seems to be trickling through the bottom of the door by window handle.

Any ideas, should I change the door rubber itself even though there seems nothing wrong. It is driving me mad at the moment as I constantly have a soggy carpet Shocked

my front passenger door leaked as there was a tiny hole in the membrane, so all i did was smear a bit of waterproof silicone over it and it sorted it!

As the water getting into the door is coming in faster than it can get out I'd take a look at the window glass bottom door seal between the window bottom and the door. Run a piece of folded card down between the glass and the rubber to clean up and get rid of any debris that is holding the rubber off the glass. Inspect it for any damage or kinks that would allow more water in than normal

With the door bottom drain holes, besides making sure the holes are clear, use a long cable tie to get in and along far enough to make sure they're well clear further in as they tend to go immediately into narrow channels

Finally do a test with the door open of putting a hose pipe on the window, you don't need to blast the water in but keep it on long enough so it has chance to build up inside the doors if it's going to and look for water freely coming out of the drain holes
