hi, any one got any ideas, i have a 2004 206 diesel 1.4 which i got a few months ago, i love it but every time it rains the engine light comes on then after a while the car keeps cutting out. got 2 codes one said something about fuel pump and the other said some thing about intake. i was told that some times water runs up the headlight and gets into the air intake so i fixed this from happening. also someone said change fuel filter. didn't work. don't realy have the money to go to auto electrician. just checking to see if there is a common fault? the pollen filter needs changing and the car steams up a lot,, could the built up of moisture in the cabin be getting onto some of the circuits and causing my problem? i will be changing the filter ASAP anyway. thanks in advance Mad

Don't put WD40 on all the connectors.

Use a proper contact-spray instead if you have to.

well...

p1160 is IAT sensor short circuit

p0087 is low fuel rail pressure

it will have to be the p0087 causing the engine cut out problem; since you don't have an in-tank fuel pump. All i could think of is there is something wrong with your injector pump or blockage in the fuel pipe.

Have you got a DIY air intake?

Are you sure its not coincidence?

Ant, you genius, you could be right.

What happens when you wash the car. Do the Polish not get a bit naffed off having to push your car out of the line?

Don't drive the car when it's raining. Problem solved.
