Well, its been a while since my last update, but I finally got round to sorting the start of the rear suspension tonight - and the hardest job by a long way - changing the rear axle bushes.

I got my Peugeot Sport Aluminium bushes last week, and then had to wait for my friend who owns a garage to give me a couple of hours as I didn't fancy doing this job on the deck...

Relatively easy job and took a little under 2 hours start to finish. Also took the oportunity to change the flexy hoses for my stainless braided items. The old bushes were a b*****d to get out - used a air-powered punch in the end. The alu bushes - be warned those looking to do the same - are a right pain to get in. A very interference fit!!

Have fitted these before to my old 206 and they really make a difference.

Next up will be the rear shocks, re-bush and re-fit lateral arms and then rear brakes... and then.. Engine time.. bring on the throttle bodies!!! YEAAAAHHHH

I will be painting the rear up to match the front - but will be a sod now it is fitted. Didnt have time to do this while off the car. My mate needed ramp space for the next day Sad

We did use copper grease when fitting the bushes, but in fairness, my mate put the bushes in with the mallet and he is built like a brick sh*thouse....

Been a while due to load of work, but.... Christmas has come early at the Sinful House this year courtesy of a lovely SS506 from our Dutch friends at Janspeed.. woo hoooooo... Hope to fit over t'weekend if weather is on my side.

Also scored some lovely poly zorst mounts to go with it. After all, there nothing worse than a set of tailpipes smacking a rear bumper...

same down here mate, hopefully it'll sit flush with the bumper, my brother has a janspeed on his 180 too but it sticks out quite a bit, had it checked by garage and it wouldn't go in any further, hopefully mine will sit flush too when I purchase it after xmas

The center to cat pipe is often quite an interferance fit and sometimes needs quite a belt with a mallet I have found. I have worked for a performance exhaust manufacturer and they don't always pay so much attention when using the flange tools y'know.. =)
