I had 315 LB/FT - 427 NM In my old Focus ST bwaaaar Pop.

The 180 is around 160+

138 is probably 120+

Get a 138 they're more tuneable lololol - if you want 180 stock figures. Like with most N/A cars they're money pits to get +BHP.

in answer to the original question.
differences on the 180 over the normal gti
heavier power steering (gives a much better feel)
bigger brakes
traction control (although some later 138's had this)
stiffer/lower suspension
much better rear axle with the extra support arms and bigger torsion bars/arb
bigger wheels (although some may consider this a downside)
gear change is done by cable not rods (feels so much more positive)
longer first gear
much more supportive seats and nicer interior
more power as standard
electronic folding mirrors
leahter speedo cover, micro carbon dash trim, micro carbon mirror caps, twin exhaust tailpipes, boot spoiler as standard etc
was told when we went to the factory in coventry the 180 has loads of extra welds to make the shell stiffer too

That's the biggest myth ever when it comes to 206's. It does have extra welding - on the boot floor for the additional exhaust mounts!

2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

i wasnt sure but when we saw the 206's being built at the factory the 180/rc models went onto a seperate part of the production line and into a booth the guy just said they have to have something like 15 or 16 extra welds on the shell

Yep...all spot welds under the boot floor!
