Bit of a long shot, but just wondered if there was a guide on how to change the clutch's on these kicking around on here at all?

Friends clutch has gone, been quoted £370 at a garage to have it replaced, is this a reasonable price?

Only experience I've had of changing clutch's is on Renault Clio's, which you have to drop the subframe to get the gearbox out, so had a long book time and as such garages quoted quite a lot. Is it similar in 206's?

Dont need to drop the subframe on a 206, pretty simple job, can be done in a morning if you know what your doing, but even if you dont shouldnt take more than a day

Not really, isnt much extra on the gti to be in the way of the box.

Does seem a bit steep. If you have the tools readily availible then give it a go, most of it can be done with a decent socket set, the biggest one is the 32mm nut on the driveshaft.

I don't know the name of it, it was a small garage, I think they were polish, but they got the job done, rather quickly as well. Dropped the car off at 9 AM and picked it up at 2 PM.

I got a quote for £80 somewhere else but they said they would only be able to do it in 2 weeks time.
