Don't worry about it mate, everyone gets it at some point, its just the old b******s on here getting fed up of answering the same questions every day.
It's nothing personal.
Other things to note:
No one likes or can read text talk.
We like good standards of spelling and punctuation lol
And you must abuse MattieRS, MrBSI and LeeThr when you see them online

Simple answer to the original question is go to the local dealer, walk into the parts department, ask them for the oil and plugs for your car. The guy will disappear for less than 2 minutes, come back and magically have the right parts in his hands. You hand over a few pieces of paper with the queens head printed on them and the parts guy will give you the correct parts and if you're lucky he will also give you a few bits of round metal, also with the queens head on them.
Pretty simple to get the right parts for a car really.
Edited for truth

Best oil for GTI18 = Castrol Edge 5w40 Full Synthetic (my choice)
Best Spark Plug = Bosch FQR7ME OEM Spark Plugs.

i work 6 days a week, the dealer is about 45 miles away from me, so thats a round trip of 90 miles
when it can take less than 2 minuets to post on here, find out what i need then order it, plus it costs less getting it online.
so you think its easier for me to take a day off work to travel 90 miles just for oil and plugs?
i think not!!

I vote for OEM Bosch plugs; I read some quality test on oil and it seems that Royal Purple is very good, but I haven't tried it...
