I've had my 1.1 now for a lot of years and put up with the CL bouncing all the time but now it won't lock both doors, even with the key in the lock and now the boot lock won't release so I can't open the lid to put my tesco bags in, what a PITA.
Where should I look first ?

The lock motor and interior light switch is all in one on the Peugeot unlike many other cars, open the doors and see which door the light does not work on, but you will probably end up changing both front door locks, but make sure you look at the wiring plug and get like for like as there is a few different types for that age of car.
The boot can be opened by lowering the rear seat backs, grasp the plastic cover on the tailgate and it just pulls off, you will then be able to slide the lock to the unlock position, normally just lack of oil on mechanism on tailgate lock

Yes unless you either use the key or remote and lock the car then it will relock, easier to leave the plastic cover off the inside of the tailgate till you have done repairs

Ok so today I finally got time to look at this, pulled the panel off and moved the latch over.
I could hear the sound of what I thought was an electric motor when I moved the latch, are these prone to failure?
I sprayed some wd-40 in the 'motor' and around the moving parts but it still didn't lock when I tried ! But I did hear something click, like a relay sort of click..
Ill ask another pair of hands to help to see am I getting any power at the 'motor' before I start buying anything for it.
