has anyone got any tips on getting mushroom clips off??? as iv been tearing my fingers to bits trying to get one from the inside of my arch near the spring to take the bumper and arch covers off for about an hours !!!!!

lol you just pull the middle bit out 1st, get a flat head screw driver under there

I normally just use a flat ended screw driver, but yeah I agree some of them are b******s to get out.

Dan use a screw driver.. Pull the middle pin out and wala off it comes!

Yea I used a fork. Never had a problem that way

Those metal pin clips are designed to be pushed in- then you pull the cable.out

I know Good look with that! They are a pain the a**e to push down, and only sometime will the connection pop off. Just taking the clip off is quicker and pain free. Im sure a lot of people will agree. Smile

I use a sharp screwdriver and then some circlip pliers to remove the plugs from my car.
2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

yeah i was pushin it in so jus pulled it off n it came off Smile thanks,

now my biggest problem yet is inside the arch there's a 10mm bolt to take off the bumper n thats the last one but the bolts rusted at the bottom so it jus spins, i just dno what to do, iv put some oil on it to hopefully harden it up and try later otherwise im jus gona angle grind me bumper off! i dont want to but kinda stuck

any help would be very much appreciated
