The mother went to borrow my car today, started it and it came up with Cat converter fault, the engine light flashing away and after reading the code off the ECU its coming up with P0300.

Its fairly cold out, recently changed the centre silencer.... are the two linked? any ideas at all?

cheeers

Well when it first did it the engine cut out... took it out for a drive and seemed to still have the same power and pull through each gear..... Changed the Coil pack out for a new one and engine light has gone off now, so seems to have done the job!
