I have got a peugeot 206 1.1 1998 which the gearbox has gone in would anyone be able to tell me if the gearbox from a 1999 Roland Garros would fit it?

be ok as long as the rg is also a tu 8v so will have same ma type box

I imagine the RG will have different ratios because it's a 1.6. Shouldnt be too different though.

Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

If i remember correctly, the 1.6 ones at the diff input are slightly shorter so 1.4/1.1 ones slightly leak

Yes, the 1.6 will fit your car but if you fitted the 1.1 shafts into the 1.6 gearbox they would not fully sit in/mate and leak ever so slightly.

When you get the box just compared the ends which enter the box and you will see what i mean
