I just did a full service to my girls 2001 1.4 8v this week,all parts from ecp,including oil filter paper type,air filter,Bosch plugs,pollen filter,5litre 10w40 semi synth oil,5 litre red concentrate antifreeze,and engine flush for £49,this is online order only with 25% discount tho. Olly

I have purchased the parts from ECP now, got air, oil filter, bosch plugs and shell 10w40 semi synth oil. Hopefulyy going to get it down later

On my 2001 1.4 8v. the only oil that my motor factors say i should use for my car is 05-40 fully synth oil.

I wouldn't have gone for the red coolant or the engine flush...

A bit thin & fancy for a 8 valve TU lump, it should be ok but a 10w 40 semi synthetic would be better.

Mines got DAF orange long life OAT coolant in it as that's what we have barrels full of at work
System was flushed last year when it had timing belt & water pump replaced.

That's what i thought but that's the oil that is listed for the car at my motorfactors. Think i might use 10-40 semi next change.

I always use red coolant and engine flush in my cars and never had a problem .

Do you no were TFM is? (Rabbit run) I get my Morris's 10/40 semi 5ltr for £15 iirc and get a oil filter from Proislee motor spears usually around £3/4 ish I do that twice a year.

No probs mate in Bennets,Proislee motor spears and Livian autos all charge about £25 for the same stuff!
