New alternator fitted. Collected it so fingers crossed it stays ok. Got a slight whining coming from the PAS pump. Think it's the bearings. Anyone want a cheap 206?!

Whining gone then I guess? My PAS is also whining, don't notice when driving. What mileage is yours on now? Stick with it!

If it's definately the BSI box I think I'd have a go at a BSI reset before I bought a new BSI box. You can also have the BSI repaired. If you buy a second hand one you'll probably pay as much to have it re-coded or whatever they call it to your vehicle.
These guys will do a repair and the reset process is here too:

These BSI boxes are a nightmare I'm finding and I've only had my 206 for a couple of months.

Main issues haven't happened again since so fingers crossed the alternator has sorted it out. Will be taking off the aux belt on Saturday to see if I can feel anything. PAS feels a little heavy so could be going. Car done 90k, had a rear ender last year and someone creased my wing. Not feeling much confidence in the car to be honest. Not a patch on the old 306. Test drove some new cars last weekend so will see
