So I have just been to the garage and they have confirmed there is play in the track rod end. They also said there is slight play in the lower arm back bush.
I am going to order two track rod ends and replace both. They have not been done before. So I thought best to replace both.
I am unsure what to do with the lower arm back bush. Can I replace just the bush or is it the whole arm?

Replace the lower arm. If you don't you will get tyre wear and that will soon get to cost of replacing lower arm.
I have used the registration mark from my daughters 1.4 8V car and think the cheapest reasonable quality you will get is from buypartsbuy as follows:-

These are QH parts and that is a long (1947) established UK company.

Thanks for that.
If I put my car in it gives me a price of £30 / arm.
I have rang my local auto parts place. They can do two track rod ends and two lower arms for £78 inc vat.
At that price am going to get all parts on Thursday and change them this weekend. Job done then.

Get four wheel alignment done when the parts are fitted.
Do not bother with two wheel.
The four wheel will take into account where your rear wheels are pointing (they won't be where Peugeot intended - they never are) and make adjustment at the front for that.
Even though you are on a far more accurate machine you should only pay for adjustments nmade so the price will be the same as tracking £35(ish.)

Depends which Kwik Fit but I haven't seen one yet with good kit but I always avoid Twit Fit. Maybe they have improved to try to catch up with others. Even if it is good kit a poor operator can still mess it all up. The best kit is made by Beissbarth with Hunter not far behind; as what kit they have.
When they (who ever that is) does the alignment watch to see if they check all suspension components for wear before doing the alignment.
A good operator will check the suspension first and if there is wear advise you of that and recommend to you that it is not aligned until it is repaired. Very few do that; it may be management pressure to generate income or it might be poor training.

I would not trust kwik fit to change a bulb!
When I put my nimrods on the car they came with 4 used tyres. Between 20mph and 40mph I was getting a horrible noise from the front left.
I stopped by kwik fit for them to put it on the ramp and check nothing was rubbing. All they found wrong was I needed new discs and pads. (I already knew this and this was not what I asked them to do.)
They then told me the new alloys needed different bolts and the noise was one bolt going to far in and rubbing on the disc!! This did not even make sense!
I took the car home checked the wheel myself and found the tyre to be unevenly worn. Swapped it to the back noise gone!
Never again will I go to TWIT FIT as KandL puts it!

If you had an Alfa 147 or 156 you would let Twit Fit fit the headlight bulbs. Double jointed and sliced hands is the only way to do it.
Second thought = no. They wouldn't seat them properly and I would have rubbish beam pattern.
