Alright guys,

Sorry this is a bit of an essay, but if your cars ever done anything like the title, please give it a read, I need some knowledge haha.

On my way home from work earlier the car seemed fine, I stopped in at my mums for 15 minutes or so and just after leaving, when I got to the first junction, the car died on me, all of the dials dropped to 0 and the car wouldn't rev. I for some reason thought I'd managed to stall without realising, and restarted the car which got it going again, until the next lights 500 yard down the road, the same thing happened but this time it wouldn't restart and the handbrake and battery waning light had come on, but my music was still going and the lights seemed fine. (The hazards were working fine at least Razz )

I managed to get the car off the road and waited for 10 minutes, by this time the car started alright and I managed to drive off okay, the only thing that felt different was the accelerator felt a little shaky :S
I did a number of stop and starts and the car seemed okay, so I managed I get it home and it drove alright again later when my dad took it out to test it out.

Could anyone shed any light on what the problem could be?
My dad thinks its the battery losing charge, but I don't understand why it would lose charge in the middle of a drive, and why it would work fine later on :/

Thanks a lot for any replies,

Paddy!

Check the heavy battery cables for security and cleanliness at the battery and where they connect to the body and starter motor.
