What tools do i need for doing code reading on my 2006 206 stationwagon?

Peugeot planet, not just the software, but the correct lead as well,
or an E-OBD reader.

I just bought an Autel Maxiscan MS509 from Amazon for £38. It's not the latest scanner but works fine on the 206 and my Jetta. Shows fault codes, descriptions...live data too. Can't moan for that price.

Peugeot planet needs a computer running XP to operate it. Diagbox, which is the new PP program can be run on Vista or 7 if you can find either a genuine copy of the software or a crack that works.
EOBD readers can be either PC based software with cable or a handheld AIO unit.
All the above are available on selling sites. Probably from £5 upwards.
A decent accessory shop would usually be able to order EOBD readers in if you ask them.
