We'll see how it handles on the track. In worst case scenario, I'll just sell them or they'll make a nice wall decoration

I also ordered torsion bars from Peugeot Sport, but 21mm, because it is my everyday car, and I hope that they will fit well with H&R springs.
@ZiAn- You drive Time Attack in Krško? |
Yup, but not as often as I'd like to in the last year or two Come join us next year, there's already a couple of guys from Croatia driving in the TA series

@Schumi, I got them from Peugeot Sport as they had a huge sale last november and were dirt cheap
@Spike, nope not yet, as I just took them off a wrecked 607. But I don't drive the car that much latley (9000km/year), so we'll see how annoying they'll get
@Pez, thanks, hopefully it will be updated a bit more regulary now

What a tread! Did you also use the GIT180/RC uprated catcams 804's? Those calipers are so nice, is this a C2 rally setup? And where did you get the needed brackets from?

Nope, we're going to use 805's, but they do require more work and definitely a standalone ECU. The Brembo calipers are off a Peugeot 607 3.0v6 and the bracket are home made but if you can get your hands on a peugeot 406 coupe Brembo (off a 2.2 hdi or 3.0 v6) then it's a perfect fit

So in the past week we've changed the torsion bars for the 21mm Peugeot Sport bars and the ride difference is unbelivable. This is one of the most under-done mods around and it's so worth it. The car feels more balanced and doesn't squeek over potholes and bumps, not to mention the cornering characteristics have improved significantly. The turn in feels alot more neutral almost a bit tail happy, where before it was quite understeerish. Even though I believe it could still benefit from the 23mm bars.
I also did some research on the calipers and we'll need to fabricate a backplate for the pads as they require 32mm discs and the thickest option are 28mm... That's about it for now

wow, taking so long to having the 2.2 engine in, when do you expect the 2.2 will sit inside the engine bay?

@heyziq, yes it's been quite a while now, but that's due to some other things taking priority before the project. So now I'm taking it one step at a time, but do hope to have it finished till the end of summer... hopefully
