Hi guys,

The rear light clusters (both of them) on my 206 1999 are malfunctioning. When I apply the left indicator the light flashes but very dimly. Both reverse lights also come on and so does the right indicator. All lights flash dimly.

When I apply the right indicator it flashes very quickly. I assume I need to replace the rear right hand bulb.

The rear left light and brake light also don't come on.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to what I can do to fix it?

Many thanks,
Lance.

try using different lights get them from a scrap yard.
if you know anyone with a 206 swap the lights over and check again then you know if its your whole rear lights.

if that doesnt sort out the problem then it might b a problem with your wiring

thats what happened to mine and my earth was bad. my earth wire had fallen off in the boot, if you peel back the boot lining on the left mine had fallen off just before the back seat behind the boot lining. there was a screw holding some wire in and the screw had somehow unscrewed itself...

Hi guys, I have checked the earth wire and all looks fine and secure. The rapid indication has stopped but I'm still left with the problem of both rear indicators flashing when I signal left. Also, the rear left brake light and stop light don't work.

I don't have a clue what's going on with it.

It's not the wire, it's the connector to the light and internal connections of the bulb holders themselves which corrode like hell at least on the phase 1.

Bin them, and save yourself a lot of time and hassle now and in the future.

Are you saying I need to buy new rear light clusters?

Excuse the simple questions I'm clueless when it comes to this kind of thing.

Cheers.
