considering buying another 1.6 XSi

vehicle is clean as hell and really looked after but it has this advisory from recent MOT.

"Steering system has slight free play detected at steering wheel"

common problem? anyone have a rough idea? I was thinking steering rack but hoping it could be something smaller, advice please Laughing
