Hey i have been searching the internet for a while now trying to work out what is wrong with the central locking on my car but dont seem to be getting anywhere.

when i try and lock the or unlock the car the lights flash and you can hear it trying to work but will not lock or unlock the boot cant be unlocked without going in though the back seats and manually forcing the rod up to open it

i have noticed that it also does not notice when the boot is open like the doors do so dont know if is something todo with the boot lock.

any help would be really appreciated thanks alot

the Car is a 1.1 "54" Plate 3 Door

Im not very knowledgeable about these things, but i think your best bet would be to remove the black boot card (not sure what its actually called, but where you put your hand to pull boot shut, sounds like you have this off already) and see if anythings stuck when you try to unlock it. Or it could be that the boot lock is not getting a signal from the central locking or somethings not plugged in.

Im not exactly sure, but thought id try and be helpful by giving you some advice or suggestions.

Hope this helps

I know this is a old post but have now had the issues Sorted turns out my BSI unit was faulty and the only way to fix was to get a brand new replacement
