Yes, its been done at least once or twice on here over the years.

Pretty pointless when you can buy a 206 with the much better 2.0 HDI donkey factory fitted.

Toyota C-HR GR Sport 2.0 Hybrid with JBL & Alcantara packs.

True, but you can pull 150bhp from an xud9te with about £100's worth of modding.

Hdi requires a good (expensive) map, paddle clutch (300+), fmic (400) and labour (250 ish). Oh and a decat also.
