I have noticed while changing my gearbox oil that my Gearbox casing has a few hairline cracks in it!

It is not leaking any oil so I don't think they have gone right through.

Do you think I should use some chemical metal weld on it?

they are just cast marks from the making of the gearbox. dont worry about it

They are casting marks. Even brand new ones have them

Surly if they where casting marks they shouldn't have passed q'c at factory to even be fitted ., but then again it is French
