I thought I'd try and change the speakers in my car and wire up an amp in the boot. It took the back seats out, unbolted the rear seat belts at the base of the seat and removed a couple of interior trim panels and the rear left speaker. But didn't do anything else or wire anything in. Now I've got major problems.
Firstly the remote central locking won't work. It'll lock all the doors by the key, but not by the buttons. I go to start the car, I can hear the fuel pump working and the starter motor cranks over fast but no fire. There is unusual activity on the dash. As soon as the ignition is switched on all the dash lights light up (like I had the headlights on at night) and so does the heater controls. The radio will not work and the engine management light is on. The sidelights come on automatically, which they never do since it doesn't have auto lights, but won't work by themselves if I flick the switch and neither do the indicators, dipped beam or main beam. The wipers don't work either. Also when the door is open and the key is in, there's no beeping like there normally is.
If anyone has any ideas, I'd really appreciate them. My car is a 1.1 2005 Sport.

First thing I would try is to reboot the BSI.

That is why you have to disconnect the battery when you are working in electrics in your car, maybe you have a blown fuse, here is a link with all the 206 fuses:
www.peugeotlogic.com/f...fuses5.htm
Good luck, and about the key fob,you can reprogramme it again to work with your car.

Thanks for the reply everyone. Turns out to be a fuse F4 I think it was in the pass compartment. 20A. Seemed to shut down the BSI anyway, everything's working now though.
