Hi
Would fitting thicker torsion bars raise the ride height at the back, if I were to not move the position of the arms whilst the original bars were removed? My thinking is that the thicker bars would resist the weight of the car a little more and make it sit higher, if that makes sense. Is this correct?
Thanks

if you have weight in the back yes ie subs etc, i had 2x12 and 2 amps with 4 components and a 6mm mdf floor so when i changed to 22mm torsion bars it did seem a couple of mm higher but its alot of effort for a couple of mm its not going to give you 10mm etc

Yes it would make the car higher. But you account for that when putting the new bars in and you raise the arms a little before the bars are inserted.

Right I see!
The back is a little too low for my liking so I wanted to figure out how to get it 10mm higher with thicker bars

Why not just raise it 10mm on the existing torsion bars?

I have the 21mm bars to go on, so I'm just trying to work it out
I hate torsion bars so this is the last time I want to mess with them!

Best just to try and work it out, sit it down then work out how much to go from there the chances of getting it perfect just by guessing is very unlikely
