What movement is that then? Apologies if you've already explained and I missed it. What tyre sizes you going for? Smile

Tyre size = 165/40

The movement explained...

I've bolted the 20mm hubcentric to the hub and when I bolt the wheel to the spacer using the original bolts and tighten them with just the ratchet I can still shake them around as there still spacer inbetween the back of the wheel and the spacer. But as soon as I fit the 5mm shim that ability to shake the wheel is eliminated. I don't know if Jamie had the same problem but I;ve had the problem with both the RS wheels and also these Nimrods.

I'll try and get a video of me being able to shake the wheel without the shim fitted and bolts fully tightened and also the gap between the two to show you what I'm referring to.

165/40's should look cool, and different, look forward to seeing that.

Is it not that the bolts are too long then, or isn't it that obvious?! Don't understand why there's still a gap when the bolts are tightened, odd!

I'm using the standard nimrod bolts...but like you've said I thought the bolts might be too long and I think that could be the reason. But these spacers and meant to allow your original wheels bolts to be used without any problems. But I've put the two different bolts side my side to compare the thread (Nimrod bolts and RS bolts and they are both 35mm in length and there's a 10mm thickness of the mounting area on the wheels that the bolt slots through).

Mega Confused.

I reckon we should have a massive meet at mine and investigate this issue lol. Be an excuse for a Evesham Meet aswell lol.

Strange indeed!

By the way... the Mono's I have bought are off that guy's old Lupo GTI in Evesham, the black one he had before his current red one on the ModernLines, lol, 99% sure they are anyway. Saw the black GTI in question aswell, looked cool, currently for sale. You not considering Mono's for the SW still, or gone off the idea?

Ah fair enough Smile The idea is still there but I can't get to one of the lists for the TH Monos which is why I went with the Nimrods. I'm planning on something big next year if I still have this so hopefully I can get myself a set by then or I'm going to get a set of 16" TH Line Schmidts.

I found a stretch and offset calculator a few weeks ago and thought I'd give it ago today with the Nimrods.

I first did a comparison between the 406 Nimrods (ET20) and the 206 Nimrods (ET28)

This is all done on Excel. The red outline is the 406 wheel and the blue is the 206 wheel.

I then kept both setups based on the 406 wheel which is what I have.

I then did a comparison between the overall size of the nimrod (I did the 406 @ ET20) with the standard tyres (195/45) and the 165/40s which I will be using.

After that I looked the difference of the offsets (red being ET -5 and blue being ET20)

So who thinks I'm a geek Laughing as apparently my Dad thinks I'm one.

Yeh man...thought I'd have a look so I don't do something wrong and waste a lump of money or end up messing something up.

Been looking at lot at Tyrestretch and fell in love with the stretch on the 165/40 thats been done and thought it's gotta be done.

God I can't wait lol...Dad's gunna get his mate to stretch the tyres on for me and also balance up etc so that one thing I've gotta worry about find out about.

But I've also had a think. Obviously VOSA will a bit iffy about the stretch so what I'm thinking is leaving the RS wheels on untill after the VOSA test and then swap over and then lower it. Atleast then I won't have any problem with the car.

Came up with a bizzare idea today.

I'm massively addicted to Adidas Original clothing and was thinking that on the wheels on each of the 9 spokes have a different colour Adidas Trefoil logo...only a small one but would be right on the end of the spoke as it meets the lip. But the colours would have to be really bright ones as the wheels are going gloss black

This is the logo that I was thinking off;

www.sojones.com/wordpr...00x231.jpg

But without the adidas writing underneath.

or if not that then a different colour Pug lion lol.
