Hello all and thanks for looking in my thread.
Having a problem with my T Reg 1.4 Petrol 206. It has started occasionally when trying to pull away from stationary that it won't pull away even with the accelerator pressed.
On pulling away from stopped I press accelerator down but it doesn't register it just pulls itself along at 1k revs pulling itself along like it's about to stall. It does this for about 5-6 seconds then goes back to normal and starts accelerating. Changing gears doesn't change it. Might have even done it after it started accelerating and picking up speed once.
Started a few weeks ago and still occurring every few days.

When was it last serviced? Air filter blocked?
How old is the battery? Spark plugs and coil pack?
Have you had a code reader on it?

Last service was 6/10/2011 / 7000 miles (Had motorflush, oil filter, pollen filter, oil change and brake fluid).
Recently changed to fully charged spare battery after other one ran flat. Maybe the spare is a little poor but no other electical fualts seem to be occuring. Not had chance to check spark plugs or Coil pack and don't know how old they are (Had the car 1 year and no paperwork with anything about them on it.)
Not had a code reader on it, what is that?

Code reader will tell you if any known stored faults. You didn't mention air filter? Also you should service every year really.
Might be worth having the battery tested. It's usually free

The battery I took out to recharge is quite new so perhaps will replace that and check if it continues. Yeah probably could do with a service.
Just hoping it isn't possibly a fuel injector, pump etc?
Where can it get hooked up to a code reader?

Having read about that it sounds like it could be a cause and it recently had been in garage for a new clutch which was slipping.
Thinking of replacing to a newer battery and taking it for a service having filters done and spark plugs done. Think this should be the first variables to check?
Thanks for help so far tolkienfan and timon.
