Hi guys, me again with a problem...

When accelerating I'm noticing a flat spot between 2000 and 2300 rpm but literally only for those 300rpm's. There is also a noticeable resonating sound during this period as well and the car feels like it's momentarily lost a little bit of power, which is why I'm describing it as a flat spot....

I honestly can't think of what it could be, so any ideas?!

The car is a 1.4 8v 2007 206. Serviced 8,000 miles ago, no engine mods.

Thanks for any help or suggestions!....

2007 could well be TU3A setup and there's this from Peugeot:

Thanks for that!

Is that a document for the 2007 model year and onwards then?

How can I now go about getting it updated, is it free through the main dealership?

Smile

Main dealer's-yes, free-no.
Maybe 40-50 pounds but I don't know how much it is over there.

No.
It is only for a TU3A seup, ie ECU, coilpack, moronised throttle body etc.

Start by looking on top of the engine ECU and see if it says Valeo and has 3 plugs going into it.
But best thing is to go to PSA Service Box, enter your VIN and it will immediately tell you up the top.

There is a high chance yours is TU3A though being 2007 model, however it doesn't mean this is definately the problem. 'Just something to investigate and hope it helps.
