I am getting a P0203 alarm on my 206cc. This points to Injector 3 failing. I get a few minutes worth of mis-firing once per day ish.... the MIL light will clear after a few restarts. I have a code reader. The only code which sticks is P0203.

I have measured the injector and get about 98R and 6.8mH which is the same as the other injectors.

I suspect an inermitant cable connection - does anyone know if there is a joint in the cable between the injector and the ECU?

Can anyone confirm which type of injection system my car uses?

Regards, Rich

For checking the injector AND the circuit it's best to check resistance at the ECM connector for that injector. No other connectors in the circuit as far as I know, just straight through from ECM to injector.

A simple check might be to swop two injectors, one good with the suspect injector and see if the fault shifts with it. If the fault shifts then you have an injector fault, if not then it's an electrical circuit problem. For an injector fault injector cleaner works wonders, as does giving the injector an ultrasonic clean

For a circuit problem I'd check the integrity of the injector connector in particular and wiring for chafing or pinching.

I had suspected the wiring, but the wiring diagram I downloaded doesn't seem to match my car. Do you know if the ECU has 4 individual outoputs for the injectors, or are they in pairs?
