Why do you need to change the cat? Do you know how expensive there are from peugeot?!

I'm having to change mine. It's got a hole near where it joins the centre pipe, just about big enough to get my finger tip in, and the weld under the cat has started cracking, and the weld around the Lambda sensor boss has got a small hole. Covered it in exhaust putty, but it's only a bodged temp fix until I get the new one later this week.
ECP do some good prices and have a discount on until tomorrow, although their discounts are a bit like sales at DFS. They always have one.
To the OP, have a look at you existing cat, I'm referring to my 1.4, but it only has one O2 sensor on the pipe which is after the cat. The other sensor is on the manifold.
You could always have a look on service box to see which one it states, and then see if you can cross reference the Peugeot number to the suppliers number.

I would go with what Peugeot are stating. Are you buying the CAT new? As I have a good second hand GTi 180 here.
